October 30, 2014

This piece and Apple Pot (closed forms gallery) will be on display in the 18th annual Lines Into Shapes Art Show, November 1 - 16 at the Art Center of Estes Park, Estes Park, Colorado. The Art Center is at 517 Big Thompson Avenue, open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

I'll be attending them during an opening reception and sale, November 1st, from 4 - 8 pm. The show is open to the public. Please stop by and say hi if you are in the area.

Estes Park is the eastern gateway into Rocky Mountain National Park. Tall mountains, elk, aspens, good food and great art embody Estes Park, Colorado.

Thanks once again for visiting, and please check back often.

My primary wood source is local trees that were diseased, storm damaged, or in the path of construction. Most of this type of wood is best suited for artisan pieces, but beautiful wood can be found locally and I search hard for it. I also purchase exotic wood from wood dealers when I need stock to meet the requirements for a specific piece.

Under no circumstances do I use tree species listed as vulnerable or threatened by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature, and I only purchase wood that is certified “Sustainably Harvested” by the Forest Stewardship Council.
